Celebrating 78 years of the Green Mountain Chorus
From 1947 through 2024, GMC has been a group of dedicated men committed to enriching the lives of its members and others while enjoying performances of wonderful a cappella in the Barbershop style. Barbershop Harmony has a rich and time-honored heritage that is well-known in New England and is guaranteed to strike a “chord" with our audiences!
On April 1, 2025, the Green Mountain Chorus membership voted to adopt the Everyone In Harmony initiative that was first introduced by the Barbershop Harmony Society in 2017. This decision follows years of discussion among our Board of Directors and the general membership.
The result of this move is that the Green Mountain Chorus has officially opened up its membership to everyone, regardless of gender.
We are inviting new singers to come and try us out. We look forward to reaching out to the community to help us build a more inclusive and diversified chorus.
